Praxis: Right-doing, Part 8

We should restore one another, reassuring each other in God’s faithfulness to save us from our sins and His willingness to cover over every past error and infraction we made against His path of truth. Jesus’ very own Spirit dwells inside of all those who trust in Him.

Praxis: Right-doing, Part 7

Does the king of heaven – the LORD of angel armies – have complete and total access to the resources that He has entrusted to you? True, He could demand it. True, He may have control of it already. But, He asks you to willingly give. He wants your will! God wants willful people to sacrifice their preferences so that He can do a visibly powerful work in and through them.

Praxis: Right-doing, Part 6

Grace abounds when believers are enjoying the goodness of Father God. The proud will always keep God at an arms distance, for they are secure with some part of themselves. The humble know the sweetness of communion with the good Father, because they have nothing else to cling to but His riches.

Praxis: Right-doing, Part 3

Any favoritism or prejudice will undo our best intentions to show grace. We must fight our natural preferences in full view of the glorious grace that Jesus has brought us.

Praxis: Right-doing, Part 1

All hard things are for our good and for God’s glory. The tough situations in life are not orchestrated for our defeat but for God’s magnification in our lives. Trials are platforms for the worship of God.

Beautiful Attitudes, Part 9

Insults are platforms for the worship of God. When others spit in our face, we can praise God lavishly. When others let hate spew out liberally, we can choose to be a fountain of blessing in the name of Jesus.

Beautiful Attitudes, Part 5

The happiness of God comes to abide in the heart of the merciful. This is a truth consistent across the Old and New Testaments. It is not the will of God that we should despise each other.

Beautiful Attitudes, Part 4

If we want to live fit for the fulfillment of the kingdom of God, we must learn to hunger for the Word of God. We must seek Him in private prayer. We must learn to call out to Him as one would beg for bread. We must take down the social masks of self righteousness and cling only to the righteousness of God. We must learn to take and eat of His righteousness.
